COG: S/T
Corey Oliver Green, Jr. (born April 10, 1988), also known by his stage name COG, is an American rapper and record producer. His eponymous debut album reached number two on U.S. Hip Hop/R&B chart. In 2010, he was named the Hottest MC by MTV and was nominated for a BET Music Award.
COG first began to gain major recognition at the start of 2008. The underground single Tha Hot Seat gained the rapper worldwide recognition and peaked at #5 on the U.S. Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles. A remix featuring Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj was featured in the video game Streets of Death 5.
The album cover for COG features a controversial photograph of a black prisoner being executed in the electric chair. It is a reference to COG's first hit single, which appears as an extended version on the album.
