Do you happen to know why the band chose NOT to include their name or the album's name on the cover...? I've always been curious about this...
There is much speculation in this regard as prototypes of the album have the band name and album title on the front cover. The backside of the album certainly has the band name and the album title and, of course, more information. One speculation is that Phyliss Hampton, who sang the role of Gertrude and also proofed the album cover, failed to notice the printer error. But then the producer, Lars Tipton, missed the error too. The troupe, however, insists that this lack of front cover advert was intentional.
